NEED TO KNOWS FOR A SMOOTH FIRST VISIT
Everyone's always a little nervous for their first time. We've answered some of your FAQs below to ensure you enjoy your first visit.
WHAT DO I WEAR?
No stretchy pants or runners needed. Come from work or come from home- wear whatever you like and whatever is convenient. (As long as you're wearing something, we're all good.)
SHOULD I EAT OR DRINK BEFORE?
We recommend coming fed, watered, and nourished. It's easy enough to get distracted by sounds & thoughts, let's not make it harder on ourselves with the sounds of a grumbly stomach! Feel free to bring a beverage in to the studio.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM CLASS? WILL WE BE MEDITATING THE WHOLE TIME?
Every class begins with a mindful activity that is designed to ease you in from your busy day. (Think: drawing, writing, etc.) This activity is solely for you so no worries, no one else will see or read your masterpieces.
After the activity, we dive into the meditation. Each pillar will have different meditations so we encourage trying different types of classes. There is a small piece of education woven into each class as well as an opportunity to come together as a group to discuss the experience, what we noticed, etc.
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?
We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes before class so that you have some time to settle in and hang out in our lounge area.
Note: For our evening and weekend classes, the main doors of the building will be locked. One of our staff will be on hand to let you in so be sure to say hello!
WHERE DO I PARK?
We are just a 5 minute walk from Waterfront Skytrain station. However, if you're driving, there is street parking available on Cambie, Cordova, and Homer. Give yourself 5-10 extra minutes in case parking is hard to find.
