Hiroko Demichelis is MOMENT's Co-Founder & Resident Content Director.
In addition to being trained in Mindfulness from the Bangor University in the UK, she has two Masters degrees in both clinical and positive psychology from the University of East London, UK. She has worked at the neuro-lab of Chelsea FC and AC Milan- using cutting edge technology in psychology to help athletes measure, train, and improve their focus and self regulation. She is a certified expert in the use of neurofeedback and biofeedback as well as cognitive behavioural therapy.
I DON’T HAVE A REGULAR MEDITATION PRACTICE RIGHT NOW, CAN I STILL TAKE THIS COURSE?
Yes! We believe it's never too late to start. While it's ideal to come in to this course with at least a year of meditation practice; you can catch up quickly with commitment and an eagerness to learn.
I DON’T HAVE A SCIENCE BACKGROUND- IS THAT OK?
Yes! We walk you through the neuroanatomical principles from start to finish- no science degree needed. Y
I HAVE NEVER TAUGHT BEFORE- WILL I BE ABLE TO TEACH?
Yes! We spend a considerable amount of time fostering and developing your leadership skills as a teacher, guide, and facilitator. You will feel confident heading into classrooms and boardrooms with the knowledge you have gleaned from this course.
SPEAKING OF CLASSROOMS, WHERE CAN I TEACH AFTER?
If you live in Vancouver, you are invited to teach at the House of MOMENT. If you are from out of town, we can provide you with tips to find work with your local studios, schools, and companies.
WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO TEACH?
No problem. Our workshops are open to individuals who are interested in the topic, even if they are not keen to teach.
